Today we board our international flights from Australia to Osaka. We will arrive in the evening and be transferred to our hotel in Kyoto.
DAY 2 Thursday 22 April 2027: Kyoto
This morning, we will be taken on a sightseeing tour of Kyoto. Visit the golden brilliance of Kinkaku-ji and serene gardens of Ryoan-ji, through the historic streets of Gion, the iconic Fushimi Inari Taisha torii paths, and the tranquil beauty of Kiyomizu-dera, offering a perfect blend of temples, traditional culture, and scenic views. Following this, the afternoon is free for you to explore Kyoto.
DAY 3 Friday 23 April 2027: Tokyo, Japan
This morning, we are transferred to the railway station for our exciting “Bullet train ride” on the famous Shinkansen train to Tokyo travelling up to 270 kmph. On the way we pass Mt Fuji and if the weather is good, we will see it. Upon arriving in Tokyo, we will be taken on a sightseeing tour of the city. Explore the historic Senso-ji in Asakusa, stroll through the serene Meiji Shrine, experience the famous Shibuya Crossing, and wonder in the beauty of Japan’s largest city.
DAY 4 Saturday 24 April 2027: Tokyo
A free day to explore Tokyo. You may like to visit Tokyo Skytree and take in panoramic city views.
DAY 5 Sunday 25 April 2027: Embarkation
We will have free time this morning for sightseeing and shopping. Early afternoon we will transfer to the port to board MS Westerdam for our voyage to Canada and Alaska. Be up on deck as the ship slips her moorings at 5:00pm for the start of our fabulous cruise.
DAY 6 Monday 26 April 2027: At Sea
A day at sea exploring the ships fantastic facilities. Why not settle down and enjoy wonderful panoramic ocean views and a drink in one of the ships bars.
DAY 7 Tuesday 27 April 2027: Kushiro, Japan
Kushiro, located on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido, is a city where natural beauty and cultural charm blend seamlessly. You can enjoy sightseeing options like exploring the serene Kushiro Shitsugen National Park, Japan’s largest wetland, which is home to the iconic, red-crowned cranes, or strolling along the scenic Kushiro River and its picturesque bridges. The city also offers cultural experiences at the Kushiro Fisherman’s Wharf MOO, where fresh seafood markets and local crafts await.

Enjoy another day at sea making the most of the ship’s amenities. You may like to join the group for some cards.

A day at sea to make the most of the ship. You might like to swim in one of the ships many pools and spas.

A day at sea to relax and enjoy the ship.

Juneau, the capital of Alaska, sits gracefully between rugged mountains and the sparkling waters of the Gastineau Channel, offering a lively blend of city life and untamed wilderness. Stroll through its historic downtown to discover charming shops, local eateries, and the Alaska State Museum, or take the Mount Roberts Tramway for sweeping views of the city and nearby glaciers. Adventure awaits just beyond the streets, from hiking verdant trails and spotting whales in the channel to exploring glaciers on guided tours, kayaking serene waters, and observing local wildlife.
DAY 17 Friday 7 May 2027: Ketchikan, Alaska USA
Ketchikan, Alaska, often called the “Salmon Capital of the World,” is a lively coastal city where rich culture and striking natural beauty come together. Its historic waterfront and colourful Creek Street offer charming shops, galleries, and local eateries, while the city is renowned for its impressive collection of totem poles and Native Alaskan heritage. Surrounded by misty forests, fjords, and rivers, Ketchikan invites visitors to hike scenic trails, go fishing or kayaking, and explore the Tongass National Forest, one of the largest temperate rainforests in the world.
DAY 18 Saturday 8 May 2027: Scenic Cruising the Inside Passage, Alaska
Scenic cruising the Inside Passage offers a mesmerizing journey through Alaska’s coastal wonderland, where towering fjords, misty mountains, and dense temperate rainforests line the route. From the deck, we can watch glaciers slowly calve into the sea, spot whales, sea lions, and eagles, and take in the dramatic beauty of hidden coves and island-studded channels. The ever-changing scenery creates a peaceful yet awe-inspiring experience, while stops in charming coastal towns add a touch of local culture and history.
DAY 19 Sunday 9 May 2027: Disembark Vancouver, Canada
This morning, we will disembark MS Westerdam and enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver. We will visit the vibrant Stanley Park seawall and Totem Poles, the bustling Granville Island Market and witness the natural beauty of Grouse Mountain, blending urban culture with stunning coastal landscapes. We are then transferred to our hotel for two nights.
DAY 20 Monday 10 May 2027: Vancouver
Today is a free day in Vancouver. You may like to cross the legendary Capilano Suspension Bridge for some spectacular views.
DAY 21 Tuesday 11 May 2027: Depart
This morning, we will be transferred to the airport for our overnight flight back to Australia.
DAY 22 Wednesday 12 May 2027: In-flight
We cross the International Date Line.
DAY 23 Thursday 13 May 2027: Arrive Australia
Today we arrive back in Australia and the tour concludes.

Westerdam is operated by Holland America and the Westerdam fly/cruise arrangements are subject to the terms and conditions and general information detailed on the Holland America website. All passengers must complete an online cruise personaliser and sign a Cruise Offers booking form.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT:
All Cruise Offers Value Holidays are heavily discounted and available for a limited time only. For this reason, we require a deposit of $1,500 per person at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable. The deposit should be sent with a completed Cruise Offers booking form that lists your requested cabin category. As soon as the booking is confirmed, (usually within 24 hours), a cruise confirmation advice will be posted to the client. The confirmation advice will contain all details. The passenger must also complete the online Holland America cruise personaliser at www.hollandamerica.com. Final payments are due to be paid to Cruise Offers 90 days prior to the commencement of the Westerdam fly/cruise. A 1.5% administration fee will be added to payments by Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Any changes made to a booking after purchase may incur fees.

REFUNDS:
The cruise is based on arrangements which do not allow for any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:
All passengers will require a valid passport.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Adequate travel insurance is required to cover cruise members for the consequences of unforeseen events during the cruise and for cancellation fees which could result from events such as illness, accident, death etc.
BAGGAGE:
Passengers qualify for a 23kg free baggage allowance on flights to join or return from the cruise.
MINIMUM TOUR NUMBERS:
The fly/cruise arrangements have been made on the basis of a minimum number of passengers travelling. In the event that less than the required number of passengers have confirmed their booking 90 days from the date of departure, Cruise Offers reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of monies paid, or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified fare.

Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control.
